Biography – Tom Morgan VP of Sales & Marketing

Tom Morgan is a hard-charging, perennial problem solver and digital pathfinder who craves success through collaboration and creativity. His leadership acumen in the publishing world spans two decades – as an advertising consultant, sales manager, advertising director, VP of advertising and publisher – working to transition newspaper publishing groups from Washington to California to New Jersey into the digital marketplace.

Today, as the head of Sales and Marketing for Gabriels Technology Solutions, Morgan is driving the company’s rapid adoption of its innovative technology, which includes real estate websites, CRM, lead management and marketing solutions, by many of the top-tier brands in the real estate brokerage business, including Sotheby’s International Realty, Saunders & Associates, Christie’s International Real Estate, John Daugherty Realtors and many more. Morgan recently lead the effort to help integrate 3-D immersion home tours, powered by Matterport, into the Gabriels platform, enabling Sotheby’s International Realty to be the first national franchise to offer its offices the hottest technology in real estate.

Prior to joining Gabriels, Morgan rapidly ascended to Vice President of Advertising for North Jersey Media Group, part of USA Today Network and best known for publishing the #1 daily newspaper in New Jersey, The Record, as well as more than 40 community newspapers and local magazines. Morgan oversaw annual ad revenues of $100+ million and a staff of 135 sales, marketing, administrative, and digital media. There he was the lead architect of the company’s digital media operation, helping to double traffic in all major categories: unique visitors, page views and visits.

Born in New Jersey and raised in Washington, Morgan began his storied career in 1993 Washington state at Sound Publishing, one of the industry’s most trusted and respected local community newspapers firms. He enjoyed a meteoric rise, starting as a first-time advertising sales rep at the Central Kitsap Reporter, becoming its Publisher as well as establishing two other papers: the Bremerton Patriot and Northwest Navigator. Later at Pacific Sierra Publishing, he would become known as a “fixer,” turning papers neglected by the local business community into their top two advertising spends. His success lead recruitment by Gannett, where he helped turned its Daily Record into a consistent top performer for the company.

Throughout his publishing career, Morgan worked in the trenches with real estate brokers and agents, honing a deep understanding of the business pain points, and then helping them grow their sales and revenue by providing solutions to help achieve their goals. He attributes his success to his passion for building teams that think “out of the box” and his refined listening skills that endears him to clients.

Morgan lives with his family in Mt. Arlington, New Jersey, where he has served on the local School Board and was a proud coach of both his children’s soccer teams.
